Our Why
Why We Are Lighting the Way
No woman should have to find her way out of the darkness alone.
As a survivor of domestic abuse, I know what it feels like to believe there is nowhere safe to turn — to question your reality, lose pieces of yourself, and wonder if anyone could possibly understand what you’re carrying. I also know the life-changing power of one person who chooses to stand beside you and remind you that hope still exists — when you are reminded there is light in the darkness.
We are building a nationwide movement where women become a light for one another. Not to rescue. Not to judge. Simply to hold the light long enough for another woman to find her own way.
This is more than a website.
It is a community.
It is a movement.
One light becomes two.
Two become hundreds.
Hundreds become thousands.
And together, we illuminate a path that no woman has to walk alone.
You Are Not Alone in This
We Are Lighting The Way is a private, anonymous community for women impacted by domestic violence and intimate partner violence. Here you can find peer support, healing courses, live meetings, and trusted resources — at your own pace, in your own time, without giving up your identity.
